Since my last blog post the weather has not improved and the mornings and evening are getting darker by the day…this means winter is approaching. The one thing that I love about autumn and winter, apart from Christmas is cosy evenings and breakfast time. Oats are a winter essential on the shopping list in our house. Porridge and autumn baking – the two best things. This blog post is simply about porridge because 1) I didn’t know what to write about for this week’s post and 2) porridge is one of my favourite foods-for breakfast or as a snack! Porridge is the perfect breakfast to have on a cold morning before school because it only takes a few minutes to whip up and is very filling, well especially when you add the number of toppings that I do. If you don’t have time to make porridge in the morning you can always make overnight oats the night before. This is a fab idea because without breakfast you will find it hard to focus in the day, so rather than skipping it just make it the night before and eat it on the way to college/school or work!
