With the very much increased swim training I have been doing at university comes lots more swim set ideas. Over Christmas (when I wasn't ill) I had been combining sections from different swim sets to create a session for myself in the local pool. I thought I would share some I have done recently. Of course you can do more or less distance/pick n mix different bits. Endurance set 1.
6x200m: 2x (swim, pull & paddle, pull) 8x100m: swim, pull, swim, pull & paddle, swim, pull, swim, pull & paddle
2x (200m pull, 200m pull & paddles)

2x200m threshold (70-75% effort) 1x400m max/race pace
4x100m – 50m fast, 50m easy (2lengths fast, 1 easy) 4x100m – 75m fast, 25m easy (2.5lengths fast, 0.5 easy) 4x100m – all fast

Similar to warm up with backstroke and freestyle variations In my own swim sessions I do: 2 lengths free, 2 lengths back, 2 lengths breaststroke, 2 lengths free Let me know if you try any of these sets or parts of them.
