“As you may know, I won a £500 voucher from Pro-direct runnning in their Great South Run competition. I never win competitions so when I opened the message on Instagram I was beyond excited and very surprised.” (as I said in Part 1) This blog post had been pending for a while. After spending my first voucher so well; catching the Black Friday deals, it was going to be hard to spend this next voucher so efficiently. I cannot begin to explain how lucky I was to win this voucher in the first place and I am super grateful. I spent this voucher at the end of December in the Boxing Day sales but some of the items were unavailable so I ended up with £50 store credit which I then had left to spend on another order as store credit. All in all I had three orders: 1: £250 2: £250 3: £50 store credit from returns and unavailable items I decided that to get the most out of the voucher I should buy trainers; so yes now I have lots of pairs of trainers but I have put them under my bed for a ‘supply’ seeing as I get through trainers pretty fast as a long distance runner. I bought two pairs of spikes and one other pair of trainers. Spikes; one of which is a new pair of XC spikes, the other are my first pair of track spikes. The pair of trainers were New balance. I loved the Nike sports bra that I got with my last voucher so I decided to get another one but in grey. I also bought a vest for the gym as I get super sweaty on the cross trainer and bike and the vest has a very open back. The items above I spent in the Boxing Day sales and the next part I actually spent on Monday. I found this voucher a bit harder to spend because all the things I loved were not in my size and nothing was cheap so to limit it to £50 was difficult. I have to say I did get very carried away adding things to my basket and the total came to £248, obviously I wasn’t going to get everything but it just shows that I find running stuff very easy to buy, as do most athletes I guess. I couldn’t decide whether to get shorts or leggings, sports bras or tops or some ‘accessories’. I finally decided on another Nike sports bra, a Nike vest and a Nike duffle bag; can you tell I like Nike? Reviews:
I hope you enjoyed reading this/listening to me ramble as per usual!
